	Research on the Effects of Fiscal Stimulus: Symposium Summary Wilson :: 2008-20 :: July 3, 2008 In a May 9 symposium, four of the foremost economic experts on fiscal policy spoke about countercyclical fiscal policy and the likely impact of the most recent stimulus package; this Letter summarizes their remarks.

	The Beige Book Survey responses showed that Twelfth District economic conditions changed little in April and May, with weak retail sales, strong demand for agricultural and natural resource products, and exceptionally weak housing markets. Released June 11
